So this morning in first period…

Mrs. Lockwood was talking in the hall before class as usual, but she disappeared about 2 minutes before the bell rang. 10 minutes later, she still wasn’t back. We sort of chilled and did work for other classes, and she still didn’t come back. So one girl crawls into Mrs. Lockwood’s coffee table (it’s a weird table).

25 minutes after class started, L’wood comes back complaining about how half of her Varsity cheerleading team was caught drunk at the 311 concert and wouldn’t be cheering at the Dome game this weekend. She asks where the girl in the coffee table was, and we told her she went to the clinic because she wasn’t feeling good.

A solid 30 seconds later, a phone start ringing by the couch. We all pretended (or tried to) that we couldn’t hear it. So then the girl starts knocking from inside of the coffee table. Lockwood starts getting frightened. By this point we’re all laughing, and she starts inching towards that corner of the room. The table knocks again, and Mrs. Lockwood actually screams (maybe a yelp, but close enough). By the time she sticks her head around the edge of the table, the girl’s head pops out like a Jack-in-the-Box-type thing. Lockwood jumps, scream/yelps, and almost falls over.

A teacher came in about 10 seconds later to make sure everything was okay.

We started to go over last night’s homework nearly 30 minutes into the class. Within two problems, we had her sidetracked talking about the cheerleaders and football players who were suspended from the Dome game.

We learned nothing and had no homework today.

(I’m going to join Spanish Club tomorrow, and I have to start Driver’s Ed next week.)

It would be really cool if I could get good grades all year long, instead of just after the first month.

Hmm…

I made a post about registration more than a week ago, but it was magically deleted. That doesn’t make me very happy.

After a week, I’ve made a lot of observations about things and how I feel about these classes…
First period, I have Mrs. Lockwood… again. She was my Algebra II teacher last year, and she’s cool enough. Probably not the best teacher, but she’s a lot of fun. There’s a few pretty cool people in the class too.

Mr. Cox is uhh… lame. But I actually like Physics, unlike most classes, so that evens things out. He is very boring and redundant, but whatever. I’ll probably learn something that’ll be useful in my career.

Mr. Kling is gay. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but I’m pretty sure he is. Hopefully he’ll be at least a decent teacher like Mrs. Buchanan was. He does seem to a be a little too into poetry, which I hate. Hopefully literature will be better. On Tuesday there was a sudden downpour after school, and his Beetle convertible was rained on. :P

Coach King is a good teacher, but I don’t like history. Hmm…

Guided Study is such a waste of time. I have no objection against study hall, but it’s no better than having a longer 5th period like last year. Buuut all our other classes are shorter. So I’m really just losing an opportunity to go to my locker or something. Lunch is ok at best. I sit with the Asian crew but finding a place to sit near the beginning of the year when no one knows what they’re doing is hectic.

Orchestra is definitely better than last year. Symphonic is smaller, sounds better, and cares more; that’s that.

SeƱora Meyer is lame. She must have had plastic surgery or something because her face is permanently stuck in a fake smile. Soo annoying. And she has a heavy Spainish Spanish accent which also bothers me.

Our bus is also lame and overcrowded. I sit with J.Rowl, cause we’re cool.

Ok, bye.

I’m actually 16 now. My birthday was a lot better than last year.

I went to IKEA this morning. I bought a soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, and laundry basket with turtle lid. Heck yes. No present or anything yet…

I’ve decided to take a vow of celibacy starting today and ending when I get married. That doesn’t make sense, but it does to me.

That’s the end. (My birthday’s during the summer again though!)
