I got my license, just to let you know.

I still don’t have insurance though, so I’ve yet to take that fulfilling first joy ride.

I’ve realized that this year has been pretty good for me; I’ve grown more than I thought. I’m thankful that I’ve finally made a good deal of friends who honestly seem to place me in a position of some sort of significance. I’ve become so much more active around my friends and in school with clubs and whatnot. I think a majority of juniors in gifted and AP classes now know who I am, even if they don’t actually know me (which is a pretty exciting realization).

I was in the basement this morning looking for some board games for today’s Jr. Youth gathering, and I happened upon so many toys from my childhood. I think I actually was sort of spoiled as a child. I saw all the cool stuff that other kids probably didn’t have: remote control cars, a plethora of LEGOs, huge K’NEX sets, board games, and random knick-knacks.

I am scheming to get a car in my hands…

(I started every sentence with the same letter.)

It has only occurred to me in the past several months that seasons are quite different than I previously thought. Up till now, I thought Winter was December, January, and February. But it seems the winter solstice is December 21st-23rd. Meaning that the majority of December is actually “autumn.” Likewise, March (a springish month) is mostly part of winter. This is all very odd to me. June is spring?

This has been a deceivingly good month. Since finishing my makeup work (i.e. essay assigned first day back), I’ve had very little homework. I don’t know why…
Well… actually I haven’t done any math homework since last November. And I do Physics in study hall. And in English we’ve been reading a book I read in ninth grade (Buchanan!). And I never do anything in APUSH. Which leaves Orchestra and Spanish. So… why was I so busy last semester?

Last Saturday was Science Bowl Regionals. We came in 5th. Out of 8.
But actually that’s good. We (Brookwood A and B) were the only teams with less than 3 seniors, and we had 4 juniors. Brookwood A also gave Parkview A (first in state) their worst score: 112 v 40. Anyway, we’re pretty excited about next year.

Yesterday I went to the YMCA with Joackim. My parents actually let me ride with him… Anyway, we “played” racquetball, and it was pretty sweet.

Tomorrow I have to be at school from 7AM to 8PM. We’re having our basketball pep rally, and after school I’m helping Coach for NHS until our “Orchestra Minicamp.” Basically we’re having one super afterschool rehearsal for 5 hours instead of 5 one hours… Basically it’s going to suck.

But better than that, I’m getting my license in 8 days, which is the day after my half-birthday for those of you counting.
Now about that car… :|
