I’d really like to post here more often. No really; I would.
Not so much for you, the reader, because no one actually looks at my blog on a regular basis.
In fact, let’s just pretend that everyone is gone. No one is reading this after it has been written.
It’s just you and me, blog.
Dear Diary,
I am no longer a Junior. In fact, I haven’t been a Junior for nearly a week now. I just haven’t had time to tell you about it. I took my AP tests earlier in May. I took finals in 3 of my classes. They were fun! They were exciting! The whole experience altered my outlook on life and made me a happier person!
Diary, that was a blatant lie. They were neither fun nor exciting. They were a complete and utter waste of my time. And yet, that was somehow soothing. I’ve always loved the last few weeks of the school year not so much because school is ending but because the learning is done. Particularly with AP classes, the month of May is entirely reviewing and testing. And unless you plan on freaking out about tests, worrying, and perhaps even studying for them, May is generally a great time.
Alas, May is now gone. There are no more days of movies, screwed-up schedules, early release for exams, and general mayhem.
During the last week of school, we usually have 3 half-days, each with 2 of our final exams. So on Monday, I had AP US History and AP Physics B. Because of circumstances, my finals in both were ridiculously easy. Then after school I took the easiest (and my last) Orchestra final. On Tuesday, I took Spanish during my Guided Study period and we had a short English exam. On Wednesday, I didn’t have to go to school because I had already finished my Spanish and Orchestra exams that I would have taken that day. Instead, I slept in and then went to graduation rehearsal around 930. I had to go to graduation that night because I was Junior Marshall and yadda yadda… It’s all rather boring, diary, and I have to say it’s a good thing that no one is reading this besides me and you. Because my description of the last week of school would make no sense to anyone who didn’t experience my last week of school.
So it’s now officially summer. We were supposed to go to Georgia Baha’i Summer School this Memorial weekend. So my sister, myself, and two other folks we were taking with us were about 10 minutes away from the school site, my mom called us to tell us that she just found out the whole weekend was canceled. So we ate dinner and came home. So let me start another sentence with the sort so.
I haven’t accomplished much of anything in the past week or so. I did turn in my application at Four Seasons carwash the other day, but I think I waited too long to apply for a summer position. And now I’m too lazy to go apply anywhere else. The whole situation is rather excellent.
I did read The End today. It was stupid. It was a waste of time. I did not enjoy it whatsoever.
And I’m seriously considering building a bridge or skyscraper out of toothpicks and glue over the summer. I think that accurately explains my current state of mind.
That’s about it for now. And that’s about it until next month.
Well, I for one read that. Most of it made sense too. It sucks that the camp was canceled, oh well, at least we had a great dinner (sarcasm). If you have not started building that toothpick sculpture I will be glad to help, because once I get back from Canada its gonna be 4 weeks of nothing to do.
We did not get to go to Playworld (Its Playland!) so we should schedule a time to go to Six Flags. Maybe we can do an activity for our Jr. Youth group?
And speaking of activities, how was Stone Mountain (hahaha), I’m guessing everyone bailed on that plan.
When do you and Mona leave for California?
And THE END was not a waste of time, though it is a bit frustrating, and pointless if some big mouth accidentally told you who Beatrice is.
I know I’ve asked you this before, but is there ANY chance of me being able to sot of help your BaBa around, like you do, as a sort of job? It could sort of a payback from you to me. You don’t have to to though, I’m just asking.
So I’ll see you soon (this weekend i believe) and if you don’t have anything to do, we shall plan some plans.
KANap!
just so you know, I still read this blog. yep.
