So, according to my access logs, my site hasn’t been working for… 4 or 5 days? I’d have thought someone might have told me…

The other day, I really don’t know which one, I went to this crazy Brazilian buffet/restaurant/barbecue with Danesh and his dad. I ate lots of aminals. Then we went to the new Apple Store at Perimeter Mall and did… stuff…
I got to see the Braves lose to the ‘Soxs on Saturday.
I got to see Cars yesterday. Ka-chow.

….
Does anyone want to come over?

Soooo… been a while?
I’ve relaunched the late arminvosough.com and nursed her back to health. However, as she is technically dead, her new identity must live under the name armin.sytes.net.

Not really.

The website’s coming to you from an old computer in the back of my room. Details aside, it works now. I’m really cheap.

It’s been back for a few days, but I haven’t really been motivated to post. Perhaps I’m just out of the loop, but we shall see if the schedule adjusts.

It is summer in case you’re stupid or something. It’s definitely not that bad though.

I feel like a bulleted list is in order to celebrate reincarnation… but uhh… this will have to do.

arminvosough.com will die in its sleep on April 3rd, 2006.

Why?

  • I’m too cheap
  • No one cares
  • That’s just about it

Check back in a few years, and the void may be once again filled, but for the time being, it doesn’t look likely.

It’s been fun.

Adios, au revoir, ciao, khodafez, goodbye… for the last time,
Armin Vosough

I won’t bore you for too long, so here’s two.

One afternoon, I am complaining about the confusion of my age, what is expected of me versus what I want for myself.
“Have I told you about the tension of opposites?” he says.
The tension of opposites?
“Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn’t. You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted.
“A tension of opposites, like a pull on a rubber band. And most of us live somewhere in the middle.”
Sounds like a wrestling match, I say.
“A wresting match.” He laughs. “Yes, you could describe life that way.”
So which side wins, I ask?
“Which side wins?”
He smiles at me, the crinkled eyes, the crooked teeth.
“Love wins. Love always wins.”

I thought of something else Morrie had told me: “So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”
I knew he was right.
Not that I did anything about it.

Ok… so sort of long quotes, but it begs the question, are you doing anything about it?
